Hi Mrs. "U":
My sister Karen does an excellent job of keeping me up-to-date. I hope that you are feeling and doing much better these days.
I got my first taste of international travel this past spring when I participated in a market study tour of Vietnam. We toured Hanoi, Da Nang and Saigon, as well as the rural areas nearby all 3 cities.
More than 30 years ago, if you had told me that I would some day travel to Vietnam and that my other sister, Carol, would travel twice to China to adopt children, I would have said that you were crazy. Just goes to show you that you never know what God has planned for you.
I hope your New Year is off to a great start!

Hello! It's Rachele Chaplin... I was in your 12A English class 5 years ago... I was just looking at your web site! good to see you are doing well!
My husband and I recently had a beautiful baby girl... we named her Victoria Michele, "Tori" we found out a month ago that she has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome... that means that the left side of her heart didn't develop fully... she has had one open heart surgery in Boston, MA. and will have to have two more in the future. We are in Birmingham while she recovers. She is doing very well! She is learning how to eat again from the bottle... she is such a miracle! I can't wait to take her home again! You take care and write me back if you get a chance!
