Mrs. "U":
Great to find this web page! It is time to think about our 40 year reunion. So I wanted to find the date and found this page too.
I am in the St. Louis area during the week and back home in Wheaton, IL on the weekends. I hope this commuting does not go on much longer.
I have four kids and as of December 08 all 4 will have at least one degree so the love of education goes on.
Maybe I can see you around the alumni banquet on June 7.

You helped me to believe in myself and not be afraid to express myself. I have you to thank for my love of poetry and good lititure. You made school so much fun.
Growing up next to you was a plus. I remember I had my first taste of salmon and of soy gravy at your house. I remember the parties and halloween at the old Mineral Springs Hotel! I can also remember the time you drove us straight into a ditch and the time we went to get our senior pictures taken. We were suppose to follow you. We did ... right down a wrong way street. I remember how you always had time for us, and how you listened. What a wonderful mentor and friend you were. I just want to thank you Mrs. "U" for being there.

I never took a class with you, but you still helped make high school what it was for all of us. Thank you for being there.
Having 5 granddaughters now, I only can hope they have teachers as wonderful as you. You made us proud.
