Paoli Class of '50 meets for reunion
Members of the Paoli High School Class of 1950 for their 60th-year reunion on June 5 at the Ritz Restaurant. Attending were 17 members of the class.James Bobbitt came from Colorado. Other classmates attending came from Paoli, Shoals, Salem, Michigan and Kentucky. Recognition was also given to the 20 deceased members of the class, which included 58 graduates.

The Paoli High School Class of 1955 met for its 55th reunion on June 5 at the Orange County Community Building.

Class of '60 enjoys reunion, gives out two scholarships
Members of the Paoli High School Class of 1960 celebrated their 50th class reunion with a banquet at Spring Mill Inn on June 4 and with a pitch-in at the home of Phillip Easterday the next day.
The class had been challenged by the class of 1959 to continue the tradition of giving a one-time scholarship to a member of the graduating class of 2010.
The class met the challenge and raised $2,700. School officials chose two recipients for the scholarship, and the awards were made on honor night on May 27.
Dr. Alva L. Sibbitt Jr., superintendent, and teacher Phil Andry, both of whom graduated in 1960, presented the scholarships. Receiving the scholarships were Kassi Bowles and Stephanie Weikert. The runner-up was Darcey Hobson.
Now, members of the class of 1960 challenge the class of 1961 to continue the tradition of giving a scholarship next year.
